Colemanstown United wish to pay tribute to the late Tommy Roche, Killuane, Gurteen who sadly went to his eternal reward on Saturday evening. An entrepreneur all his life, he was a stalwart in our community and was held in the highest regard by all in our club. He always had a keen interest and commitment in the soccer club and in general in all community activities in the local area. In the early years of the club’s foundation, an annual sponsored cycle was our sole fundraising activity. Tommy was the main sponsor of the event down through the years and he was there to wave off all cyclists from his business premises, RoCo Engineering, based in Claregalway and was always at Burke’s, Colemanstown to greet all tired cyclists on their return. Over the years, Tommy designed many items in the engineering field, including the RoCo wrap master. He was simply a fantastic man and will be missed by all in the community. We are so grateful to the late Tommy Roche for his extremely generous contribution to our soccer club during it’s lifetime. Colemanstown United extend our sympathy to his wife Patricia, daughter Jacqueline, sons Jimmy, Michael, Thomas & Matthew, daughters-in-laws, son-in-law, grandchildren & extended family circle and many good friends.
