It was stunning & scintillating day for our under 12’s who bowed out of the Cup with a narrow 1-nil loss to premier side Maree/Oranmore. Colemanstown hit the woodwork all of 5 occassions in this game but just didn’t have the rub of the green. Maree/Oranmore scored midway through the 1st half from a corner kick which was defended well by Colemanstown but the ball got lodged in the mud & with the slightest effort from Oranmore the ball somehow managed to dribble over the line. Maree/Oranmore deployed 5 defenders in an effort to defend their 1 goal advantage & this limited the impact of the Colemanstown strikers. However, the pace of our midfielders & strikers was top class & they took the game to Oranmore in search of the equalizer. Conor O’Neill & Kieran Dowd had good 2nd half chances while Ronan O’Neill (2) & Lorcan Molloy hit the woodwork. It was a sensational performance from both sets of youngsters in extremely difficult weather
