Men’s Championship: Colemanstown 1 – 4 Oranmore Maree.  It’s hard to believe but we were 1-0 up with half hour to play in this latest league encounter yesterday afternoon but were completely blitzed by the visitors late in the second half. Our goal came on 24seconds when a ball from Junior in goals was picked up by Dylan Grady on the right side of the field, drilled across to Callum McKelvey whose clinical finish found the net for the perfect start. There wasn’t much more to shout about apart from a glancing Thady Moran header approaching half time which wasn’t too far away but we kept the pressure on our visitors for most of the half. 1-0 at half time. The 2nd half saw the introduction of Jamsie Colleavy & Cathal Kitt. We pressurised for the first quarter hour after the restart although created nothing meaningful in a scrappy game end to end. With 16mins gone Oranmore cancelled out our first-half opener, before a cascade of Oranmore goals, 3 more, with 15mins to go left the result firmly in favour of the visitors. Final score: Colemanstown 1- 4 Oranmore – Maree B. Match report: Andy McKelvey. Wishing Jason Finn a speedy recovery following his broken ribs injury sustained in the game. We’ll try to keep the games low-scoring until you’re back… but no promises – not his first time in the wars either!

Squad: Alan ‘Junior’ Finn, Dylan Grady, Sean Hardiman, Jason Finn, Geordan Kenny, Padraig Quirke, Kerrill Hardiman, Richie Lally, Kevin Barrett, Thady Moran, Callum McKelvey, Harry Mitchell, Jack Dillon, Cathal Kitt, Josh Brennan, Jamsie Colleavy.

U13 Boys Div 2:  Our U13 Boys travelled to Mervue yesterday morning for an early KO against table toppers Mervue B in the league. It was the hosts who triumphed 9-0 as the gulf in class was far too emphatic given we were punching well above our weight in this one.
