Our u17’s/18’s are certainly back with a bang as they made a huge impact from the outset in the hot September sun as 3 players scored in this impressive win over Corrib Rangers. Sean McGee struck 3 times and Paul Lally & Lee Murphy also scored as Colemanstown romped to an emphatic 5-0 victory. It was an outstanding team performance as everyone played their part while Colemanstown gave a big demonstration of their true worth. They moved the ball about with speed as the game was played at a high tempo. They won 5 corners early in the game in a 10min spell pinning the opposition to the collar and should have scored from all 5 chances but they maintained their shape in the belief that the goals would come. Our new signing Sean McGee has really settled into this team; his first goal came on 20mins and it opened the floodgates after that. Paul Lally and Lee Murphy supplied the other 2 goals before the break while Colemanstown custodian Keith Connell made some brilliant saves in the last 5mins of the first half as the visitors tried to get back into this game. The lads took full control of the 2nd half as the defense showed a great display of confidence, sheer concentration, pace & stability. Sean McGee got 2 more in the 2nd half to claim his hat-trick, and bring his goal tally to 4 from 2 games in what was an impressive win for these lads.
