Colemanstown 10k organising committee are busy preparing for its 2nd annual AAI Road Race on Saturday 7th April (Holy Saturday) at 12noon. Given the success of our inaugural event last year we are hoping to make this year’s run even bigger and better.
Colemanstown is easily accessible from the M6 motorway exiting at Athenry (approx 8 miles from Athenry) and following the road straight to Monivea, keeping Monivea village on your left, staying on the Menlough road; taking a right at Garbally castle 9in ruins); then 1.5km straight to the clubhouse which is located on your right hand side. The route will be signposted at all major junctions. Map & area location is available on www.runireland.com.
The race is preceeded by a children’s 1k fun run at 11am where all participants will receive a medal and some goodies. Children’s medals will be presented by County Hurling Star Cyril Donnellan & County Camogie Star & All-Star Award winner Niamh Kilkenny.
We extend an invitation to all to join us on the day.
1st, 2nd & 3rd overall winners
O40/50/60 male & female category winners
Prizes presented in the clubhouse as soon as results are available after the race.
