Our B team resumed action today after the weather and pitch conditions played ‘puck’ with their fixtures over the last number of weeks. They were beaten 5-1 by a much stronger Corrib Rangers outfit in the first round of the Divisional Cup. Albeit, a win never looked likely fielding with a depleted team, it was worth being there just to see Tommy K’s whopping finish. Not alone was his goal a beauty but he could have bled the poor Colemanstown manager dry after the game with a feed of pints as he ordinarily complied with the manager’s request on his introduction. ‘Score a goal and there’ll be 3 pints waiting for you.’ Hope the manager lived up to his promise!
