Colemanstown ‘A’ got themselves back on track at home tonight with a 4-2 league win over Tuam Celtic. Colemanstown were lightening off the blocks with 3 quick fire goals from the hard working Squelchy and Sean Walsh with two edged the home side into a comfortable lead as John Gormally had little to do in the 1st half. Colemanstown continued to look dangerous in the 2nd half as Gary Lally took the game by the scruff of the neck when he added a fourth goal with a great strike from outside the box. A few injuries resulted in Timmy introducing 3 substitutions, Ronan Carr, Garry O’Grady & Geordan Kenny to freshen things up as Tuam were beginning to exert some influence. They were rewarded with 2 late deserved goals for their efforts. 4-2 it finished with 3 points for Colemanstown on a night when they got back on their horse again after succumbing to defeat last Sunday in the Connacht Shield semi-final. They play West Coast United at home on Sunday at 2pm in the league, please make an effort to support the boys in green.
