Clinical performance from U13’s & U15’s

Our under 13’s cruised past a hapless Athenry side with a clinical display which moves them midtable with 3 games in hand.  The floodgates opened with a tally of 8 goals, 5 in the 1st half with good performances from Gerard Warde, Dylan Kelly, Ronan O’Neill, Ronan Carr, Daniel Masterson, & Sean Murray.  Brian Connolly & Jack Layton were introduced in the 2nd half and both carved some great crosses to help us finish the game 8-nil.  Scorers: Lee Murphy (3), Kieran Dowd (2), Aidan Monaghan, Lorcan Molloy, & Paul Lally.

Our under 15’s put in an enthusiastic display against Kinvara and are now nicely placed in the table behind table toppers West Coast Utd.  Darragh Kelly scored 10 mins in when he latched on to a Paddy Mullins free kick to finish well.  Sean Kenny got our 2nd before the break when he rose highest to a Mullins corner to head home.  In the 2nd half Colemanstown sat deep and let Kinvara come on to them but Chris Sheridan stood out in defence with some timely tackles and long clearances.  Jason Gannon scored the 3rd when he turned nicely and curled the ball into the corner of the net while Johnny Lally completed a convincing victory thanks to a 4th which he converted from the penalty spot.  Kinvara got a late consolation goal and so it finished 4-1. Our under 11’s advanced to the semi final of the Cup when they beat Corofin 4-3 and now take on the might of Salthill Devon.
