Our U11’s took on Craughwell in the U11 Development league in wet cold conditions yesterday morning in Colemanstown. There were 2 excellent games on display. The teams were split into those born 2007 & those born 2008. Both games were close with plenty of excitement and lots of excellent passing, plenty of efforts at goal and some superb defending in what were really competitive games. Our U11’s group ended 3-2 winners with the home team surviving a late onslaught from Craughwell to just about hold on for the elusive win….. 2 goals from David Walsh & Ross Lally was also on target. The team played brilliantly as a unit with many of the coaching drills practiced at training reaping their rewards. U11 squad: Ross Lally, David Walsh, Kilian Hughes, Diarmuid Ryan, Sean Connolly, Shane Kenny, Cathal Kennedy, Ella Carroll, Patrick Flynn.
Our U10’s (players born 2008) played some superb exciting end to end football with great attacks and astute defending with no shyness in taking shots at goal. Colemanstown hit the crossbar with three thunderous efforts in a row at one stage.
