Our A team had their first run out for the season this Sunday against Crumlin United, who ran out 2-1 winners on the day. Colemanstown started brightly with an opening goal through Tom Flannery after 20 minutes. On receiving a throw out from goalkeeper Niall Gelston, Damien Wynne ran the full length of the pitch to the byline where he squared the ball to Tom Flannery who neatly tucked the ball into the net. Crumlin came back into the game when they were gifted an equaliser though a Colemanstown goalkeeping error and then took the lead on the half hour through a wonderful strike from full of 35 yards straight into the top corner. Colemanstown pushed for an equaliser in the second half but Crumlin pulled an extra man back into defence to secure their opening win of the season.
