Colemanstown 10k is just a few days away as final preparations are underway and plans are being put in place. The race starts at 12noon sharp this Saturday while the course is the same as that run last year but remember the start line is 1km away from the registration facility at the clubhouse in Colemanstown so runners will need to be heading down to the start line by 11:40 at the latest. Like other years the course is fully marshalled and marked out in line with AAI rules. There are changing facilities, showers and plenty of refreshments available afterwards in our specially erected marquee. Registration on line at www.runireland.com for a fee of €20 is open until Thursday evening, 2nd April but one can also register on the morning of the run at the clubhouse in the pitch grounds. However, we encourage as many participants as possible to register on line in advance as it saves additional paperwork on the morning of the run.
There is also a children’s 1K fun run at 11am and all children will receive a finisher’s medal and goodie bag. The run is now well known as a fast, flat, loop course and an excellent run for a PB but let’s hope it’s not weather conditions like the driving wind and rain we’re experiencing at the moment. Should you require any additional info please email colemanstown10k@gmail.com. See you all on Saturday morning!
