Colemanstown ‘B’ 3; Moyne Villa ‘B’ 1
It has been a long time coming but was certainly worth the wait. The ‘B’ team ended their goal famine on Saturday last with a fine victory at last. They appeared a little ‘refreshed’ following the cold spell and the lack of match play. They were quickly in command with a Steven Broderick header 3 mins in when he was on the end of a ‘Beckham’ style free kick from his brother Gary. Barry Donnellan scored a piledriver on the half hour mark to keep Colemanstown in the driving seat. 2-0 half time. Moyne Villa brought it back to 2-1 early in the 2nd half but with 15mins left, Joe Finnerty ensured victory with a well taken goal following a goalmouth scramble and so the ‘B’ team now remain unbeaten since Christmas! Niall Gelston had an outstanding game in goals with some top drawer saves.
